Sin begets sin. Lie begets lie. Idol begets idol. Pride leads us to layer upon layer of deceit and dissembling. But God is merciful to His foolish children, and in His love He does not spare us the sactifying pain of peeling off the dragonish layers to get to the boy underneath.
