The Royal We
Yesterday I found myself a couple times praying for things in the first person plural. "We ask your blessing on..." and so forth in extemporaneous prayers. In both cases it was a reactive sort of prayer. You know -- you hear a need and you just pray for it right then rather than waiting for some more formal prayer time when you might have forgotten it. Since I wasn't really consciously thinking about the form of the prayer, I thought this was a good sign that a deeper corporate mindset seems to be developing. Thanks, Lord!
