Saturday, November 16, 2002 AD I Always Want to Change This The Collect for PeaceGrace: "O Lord, our heavenly Father, Almighty and everlasting God, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day; Defend us in the same with thy mighty power; and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger; but that all our doings, being ordered by thy governance, may be righteous in thy sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
I always want to change it to "and grant that this day we run into no sin, neither fall into any kind of danger." Run and sin seem to go together as volitional things. Fall and danger seem to go together as nonvolitional things. Posted by Valerie (Kyriosity) at 11/16/2002 02:45:00 PM
